Sergio Garcia | KSBG TV
Sergio Garcia serves as KSBG-TV 17's Television Liaison. He began his service with San Benito CISD's educational television station in 1998, where he worked on all audio/video related aspects for over a 10-year period. Garcia spent seven years as an educator, where he acquired Avid Certified Instructor (ACI) status from Avid, the industry leader in professional editing. This certification afforded San Benito CISD the opportunity to become a learning partner with Avid to authorize and certify high school students to obtain their certification before graduation.
In his current role, Garcia assists Director of Communications Celia Longoria in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the television station. Working alongside Longoria and members of the KSBG team, Garcia produces shows that highlight and promote the students and staff of San Benito CISD.
David Cortez | KSBG TV
David Cortez is a San Benito High School Class of 1990 graduate. He has been employed with San Benito CISD since August of 2008. Cortez has been in the television broadcast industry since 1991, working locally in the Houston area with the CBS, ABC and the PBS affiliate. Cortez, KSBG-TV 17's Lead Technician, has experience in graphics, video shooting and editing and all aspects related to audio.
Jose Ramos | KSBG TV
Jose J. Ramos, a KSBG-TV 17 Television Production Technician, is a San Benito High School Class of 1996 graduate. He graduated in 2011 from Texas State Technical College in Harlingen with a degree in Digital Media Design Technology. His college experience with photography and video projects and his experience with various Graphic Design programs assists him with his role at KSBG. He has been employed with San Benito CISD since October 2011.
Alondra Cardoza | KSBG TV
Alondra Cardoza, a KSBG-TV 17 Television Production Technician, is a Class of 2013 San Benito High School graduate. She began her employment as a co-op student September of 2012 while enrolled in the San Benito High School Media Technology Program. As a student in the district's Career Technical Education Program, Cardoza competed at the Skills USA state competition in the areas of Audio Video Production and Community Showcase, where she and her fellow teammates earned state medals. Cardoza is multi-talented and has the ability to create graphics, develop and edit stories. She is able to work as talent, however, her passion is working behind the scenes.
Celia Longoria | Community Relations
Celia Longoria is the director of communications for San Benito. She has been employed with San Benito CISD since 1998 and was previously employed by the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District's Public Relations Department, beginning her career in school public relations in 1991. Longoria began her career in journalism at the Advance News in Pharr and at The Monitor in McAllen. A 1982 Mercedes High School graduate, Longoria earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Communications, Journalism concentration) from the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg.
Isabel Gonzalez | Community Relations
Isabel Gonzalez is the Special Populations Specialist for the San Benito CISD; her responsibilities include public relations activities and processing open records requests for the school district. She has been employed with the school district since May 2002. Gonzalez was previously employed with the Division of Overseas Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was responsible for marketing international mission trips and cross-culturalexperiences. A 1989 San Benito High School graduate, Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing Management from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Gloria Montalvo | Community Relations
Gloria Montalvo has been employed with San Benito CISD for 20 years. She has held various clerical/secretarial positions with the district, working in the district's Library, Parental Involvement and Migrant Departments and most recently, as the Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS) clerk at Rangerville Elementary. In addition, she worked as a secretary in the business sector prior to securing a position with San Benito CISD. Montalvo graduated from Harlingen High School in 1970 and attended Texas Southmost College in Brownsville.
Dulce Quiroz | Community Relations
Dulce Quiroz began her employment with San Benito CISD as the district's webmaster on a part-time basis with the district's Technology Department in 1998. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Digital Imaging Technology (Computer Graphics and Web Design) from Texas State Technical College.
In 2003 she became a full-time employee with the Technology Department. Since June 2013, Quiroz has been a welcome addition to the Community Relations/KSBG-TV Department, where she has continued her duties as the district's webmaster and taken on additional duties related to television production.
